Double
Action at the Purcell Room
On 13 January 2005, as part of the Park Lane Group
Young Artists Series, Double Action gave their Purcell Room debut recital.
A highlight of the evening was the performance of Dutch composer Lex van
Delden’s Concertino per Due Arpe, Opus 76 of which The Times wrote:
‘an eloquent, elegiac miniature benefiting from a tight structure
and scrupulous attention to the harp’s dynamic and rhythmic possibilities’.
Double Action also performed three world premieres; Locked Voices by Dai
Fujikura, Kakemono by Geoffrey Poole and Butterflies’ Autumn by
Eleanor Turner.
